More than 400 cycling enthusiasts from across the country participated in a race at the Yunhe Terraces scenic area in Yunhe county, Lishui city, East China's Zhejiang province on Nov 5.
The event, which started from the Yunhe Terraces Tourist Reception Center, took the riders along the Houjiao Line, a picturesque mountain road that passes through ancient villages such as Butouhou and Xiayang.
The Yunhe Terraces, which has a history of over 1,000 years, is the largest group of terraces in East China and covers an area of 51 square kilometers.
"The scenery is so beautiful that I don't feel tired at all while riding," said Cheng Liangqiong, a rider from Hangzhou, who was participating in the race for the second time.
The county's culture, broadcasting, tourism, and sports bureau said that the event was aimed at promoting Yunhe's cultural and tourism resources through cycling.
