Yunhe Harvest Festival features dazzling iron flower show
The fifth Golden Autumn Chestnut Festival kicked off in Xiaoshun village, Shitang town, Yunhe county, East China's Zhejiang province on Oct 22.
During the event, visitors got to savor chestnut delicacies, play garden games, and watch intangible cultural heritage shows with villagers from 13 villages in Shitang town. They also celebrated the Double Ninth Festival, a traditional Chinese festival that falls on the ninth day of the ninth lunar month.
The highlight of the event was a spectacular iron flower show that lit up the night sky. Iron flower is a folk art form that involves throwing molten iron against a cold wall to create sparks. It was created by blacksmiths who used to perform it during festivals.

Xiaoshun village, which has a rich Red history and diverse cultural offerings, has been promoting the integrated development of Red and green tourism.
It has also developed local industries such as chestnuts, tea, and camellia. The per capita income of each household involved in agricultural planting currently exceeds 10,000 yuan ($1,368.88).
