World-famous photographer Stephen Shore will attend the 2023 Lishui Photography Festival, which will be held in Lishui in East China's Zhejiang province in November.

Shore will hold a solo exhibition, a special lecture, an academic seminar, as well as take part in several festival activities. He will also share his insights and experiences with photography enthusiasts and explore the development of world photography culture.

Chen Ronghui, the executive curator of Shore's exhibition, said that Shore accepted the invitation of the festival organizing committee without hesitation and expressed his eagerness to visit China for the first time.

Shore was born in New York in 1947 and was a pioneer of American "New Color Photography" in the 1970s. He is known as the "Master of New Color Photography" and has influenced many world-renowned photographers such as Nan Goldin, Andreas Gursky, Martin Parr and Thomas Struth.

His series of works American Surfaces, Uncommon Places, Elements and Topographies will be exhibited in Lishui during the festival, featuring 335 photographs.
