A coffee-themed event was held in Qingtian county, Lishui city in East China's Zhejiang province, on Oct 14.
The event featured various innovative ways of utilizing coffee grounds, such as using it for indoor dehumidification and deodorization, cleaning dirt and grease, and making coffee grounds soap and aromatherapy products.
Although it does not produce coffee beans, Qingtian is known for its strong coffee culture. According to statistics, Qingtian consumes more than 60 metric tons of coffee beans every year and has an annual per capita coffee consumption of 50 cups, 25 times higher than the national average.
Qingtian coffee practitioners have in recent years been upgrading and improving their products and services, combining coffee with local characteristic cultures such as photography and stone carving.
As such, coffee has become a cultural symbol of Qingtian that has attracted coffee lovers from near and far.
