The 134th China Import and Export Fair, also known as Canton Fair, a major platform for China's foreign trade, opened in Guangzhou, the capital of South China's Guangdong province, on Oct 15.

The fair, which will run until Nov 4, has attracted more than 28,000 exhibitors, including 650 that are from 43 countries and regions.

Among those present are 124 enterprises from Lishui city in East China's Zhejiang province. These enterprises are displaying their high-quality products and services that cover nearly 30 industries, including electronics, machinery, household appliances, and auto parts.

Lishui is a city with rich natural resources and a strong manufacturing base. It has in recent years been striving to upgrade its industries and promote its brands in the global market.

Oubao Security Technology Co Ltd, a leading domestic producer of door closers in Lishui, has participated in 29 sessions of the Canton Fair.

"We always present our best and newest products to domestic and foreign customers. We hope to use the fair to further improve the international reputation of our brand and obtain considerable economic benefits," said Chen Xiaojian, the head of the company.

Zhejiang Taotao Vehicles Co Ltd, another Lishui-based enterprise that focuses on technological innovation and product research and development, is displaying three new products – electric bicycles, electric golf carts, and large-displacement all-terrain vehicles (ATVs) – at the fair.

"The Canton Fair is an important stage for Zhejiang enterprises to show their high-quality products and services. On the first day of the fair, we signed intended deals worth more than $3 million," said Cao Matao, chairman of the company.

The Lishui Municipal Bureau of Commerce said that it will continue to support local enterprises to participate in international exhibitions and expand their presence in overseas markets.
