The Hangzhou Asian Games held spectacular opening ceremony on Sept 23.

Besides the dazzling performances and displays, the shoes worn by the flag raisers also caught the attention of the audiences.

These shoes were designed and manufactured by Yearcon Co Ltd, a company based in Qingtian county, Lishui, East China's Zhejiang province.

Yearcon has designed four types of shoes for the Hangzhou Asian Games and the Asian Paralympic Games.

Jin Lijun, deputy director of design and development of Yearcon's men's shoes department, said that the shoes are made of high-quality calfskin and sheepskin as well as memory foam that allow for a better, more comfortable fit. The natural rubber used to craft the sole is also more wear-resistant and fold-resistant than conventional soles.
