The Yunhe Terrace Scenic Area – located in Chongtou town, Yunhe county, in Lishui city in Zhejiang province – is the largest group of rural farming terraces in East China.

It has a recorded history of more than 1,000 years and covers an area of 51 square kilometers. Moreover, it's known as "the most beautiful terrace in China" for its stunning natural scenery.

The scenic area has been offering a variety of cultural events and performances for tourists, who can not only enjoy the beauty of the terrain but also the rich and diverse terrace culture. They include:

Singing mountain songs: A traditional custom of the She ethnic group, who express their feelings, tell stories and speak their minds through songs.

Nanshan Huagu Opera: A folk opera that originated in the Yunhe mountain area in the late Ming (1368-1644) and early Qing (1644-1911) dynasties, featuring a simple and brisk performance and distinctive characters.

Baoshan Huagu Opera: Another folk opera that has a history of more than 400 years, with a section of "twelve months' flower names" as its highlight.

Mini wooden dragon performance: A unique folk art that has a history of more than 700 years, with a majestic dragon head made of strip-shaped wooden boards as "dragon bones".

She ethnic wedding performance: A series of programs in the She style, such as drum music, ethnic dances and toasts.

The cultural performances are said to be the epitome of Yunhe county's folk culture. Tourists are invited to join this cultural feast and experience the charms of Yunhe Terrace.
