Songyang, Quistello ink deal to boost economic, trade ties

Songyang county of Lishui city in East China's Zhejiang province and Quistello of Italy signed a memorandum of understanding on economic and trade cooperation in the Italian city recently.
Liang Haigang, deputy secretary of the Songyang county Party committee, led a delegation to visit Quistello, a sister city of Songyang.
At the signing ceremony, Quistello Mayor Gloriana Dall'Oglio spoke about the historical and cultural heritage of Quistello. She said she hopes that the MOU would further promote exchange and cooperation between the two places, especially in economy and trade.
Liang pointed out that the two sides have conducted mutually beneficial exchange in areas such as economy and trade, culture, tourism, and people-to-people interaction in recent years. He also said that the MOU marks a new stage in the friendly relations between the two sides.
Quistello is a city under the jurisdiction of Mantua province in northern Italy. The city has a rich cultural heritage and a developed agricultural economy.
Songyang county and Quistello became sister cities in 2013.
