Young Zhejiang man leads way in innovative cattle raising
Ye Xinrui, a promising young man who lives in Qingtian county – located in Lishui city in East China's Zhejiang province – has shown remarkable dedication and commitment to his family's cattle ranch.
Despite being a university graduate, Ye recognized his father's difficulties managing the family cattle ranch and returned to his hometown to offer his assistance. With years of hard work, Ye is said to have transformed the ranch into an exemplary venture in the region.
When he first started cattle farming, Ye faced many challenges, including low-quality beef, difficulty selling newly raised cattle and damage during the transporting of calves. However, he persevered by managing the ranch during the day and working on solutions at night with the help of veterinarians.
In 2019, Ye introduced overseas beef cattle breeds to improve the quality of his beef. Additionally, in 2021, he mastered the techniques of artificial insemination and cold mating, becoming the first livestock owner in Lishui city to possess the skill.
What's more, Ye has been focusing on digital management and has developed digitally controlled cattle sheds to enhance beef quality, aiming to increase industrial efficiency and boost the incomes of the villagers.
The story of Ye is said to show the determination and creativity of young people. He's encouraging more young people to go back to their roots and help develop their hometowns.
Thanks to his hard work, the ranch Ye managed has become the first one in Zhejiang province to raise cattle indoors. His innovative approach has now extended beyond the local market and it is widely said to serve as an example for others in society.
