The couple first met online through videos and overcame language barriers with the help of translation tools. After she journeyed to Lishui, Rose quickly picked up Mandarin and adapted to the local culture. She also impressed people with her cooking skills.
Their blissful journey culminated in a traditional Chinese wedding ceremony, symbolizing their enduring commitment, with the two embarking on a new chapter of their lives.
For eight years, Rose and Wu have faced many challenges and joys together. Embracing her roles as a devoted wife and mother, she raises their son, Anzai, who is a bright student. Grateful for the support of kind-hearted neighbors, Rose finds solace in their helping hands during childcare and medical emergencies, despite being far from her homeland.
To many, the very special bond between Rose and Wu exemplifies the transcendence of love beyond cultural boundaries – demonstrating the profound connections that can emerge even from totally different backgrounds. This heartwarming tale has captivated the local community, celebrating the flourishing of an "African Rose" that blooms in the heart of China.
