There was no time for playing around in Yunhe county – located in Lishui city, in East China's Zhejiang province – which hosted an international procurements fair for its wooden toy industry on July 10.

The event aimed to boost the recovery and growth of Yunhe's wooden toy exports, by establishing an on-site trading platform.

The fair featured more than 30 local toy enterprises that displayed their products in 11 categories, including puzzles, building blocks and educational toys.

Some 73 overseas buyers from 27 countries – including the United States, Germany, and Mexico – held talks and chose products produced by the enterprises exhibiting there.

In addition, 15 global business ambassadors for Yunhe wooden toys were appointed. These are entrepreneurs, experts and academics from various fields who will use their influence to introduce Yunhe wooden toys to the world.

Another highlight of the event was the launch of the Yunhe wooden toy global development platform, which aims to digitize trading and upgrade the wooden toy sector. The platform is expected to leverage the advantages of the one-stop domestic and foreign trade exhibition hall for wooden toys in the county.

Five local companies signed intention to purchase agreements with overseas buyers on site, in contracts worth $3.18 million.
