Jingning She autonomous county, located in Lishui, Zhejiang province, is experiencing a surge in its nighttime economy, local media reported on July 6.
Under the cover of darkness, bonfires blaze and villagers and tourists dance to the beat of drums accompanied by ethnic music.
"I've always been curious about the She group and their cultural customs. I experienced a genuine She bonfire party and it was incredibly interesting. The warmth and enthusiasm are truly captivating," said a tourist surnamed Lin.

At night, rows of colorful, atmospheric lights illuminate the streets, with vendors like Lin Jinglong busy serving customers. During peak hours, Lin's stall serves over 20 tables of people, sometimes staying open until 5 am.
"The government encourages the vigorous development of the 'street stall economy,' so I thought I could showcase my skills by setting up my stall. Business has been getting better and better, and now my annual turnover exceeds several million yuan," said Lin, who shares these feelings with numerous local vendors.
In the first quarter of this year, Jingning received a total of 555,000 visitors, a 14.6 percent increase compared to the same period last year. Tourism revenue reached 550 million yuan ($75.93 million), an 8.2 percent increase year-on-year.
