Yunhe county in Lishui city, East China's Zhejiang province, recently invited 23 young students from different countries to join its talent pool as part of efforts to have more international talents contribute to its development.
The students, who formed the first batch of "International Youth Talent Ambassadors" in Yunhe, took part in the Global Youth High-Quality Development Yunhe Tour event from June 9 to 11.
During the event, the students visited Yunhe's scenic spots, culture venues and industrial parks, and experienced its folk customs and rural life to gain a deeper understanding of the county's history, culture and economy.
The students said they were impressed by Yunhe's charm and potential. One student said that he felt honored to be an ambassador for Yunhe and that he would introduce Yunhe to his family and friends. He also expressed a desire to return to Yunhe to work after graduating.
Yunhe has in recent years been optimizing its talent development environment by offering preferential policies and various talent training systems. Authorities will continue to enhance exchange and cooperation with global universities and enterprises, and attract more outstanding talents to innovate and start businesses in Yunhe, according to a county official.
