A humble sunflower field has become a hot new tourist attraction in Baipu village, in the Sanxikou sub-district of Qingtian county in Lishui city – located in East China's Zhejiang province.

More than 80 mu (5.33 hectares) of sunflowers there are currently in full bloom. Many visitors have come to the village to enjoy the beauty and take photos.

The sunflower field is part of a rural vitalization project that aims to make use of idle land and increase the incomes of farmers.

The village committee planted sunflowers, which have both ornamental and economic value. The villagers then sell sunflower seeds and other products to the tourists.

As a result, the humble sunflower has become a new name card for the area and the field has become a popular destination for visitors who want to experience the charms of rural life.
