Lishui athlete wins gold at Canoe Sprint World Cup

Lishui native Wang Nan and her teammates Li Dongyin, Yin Mengdie and Sun Yuewen took home the gold medal in the women's kayak four (K4) 500m final of the Canoe Sprint World Cup in Hungary on May 12.
The quartet finished with a timing of 1 minute and 37.07 seconds.
The Spanish team won the silver medal while the bronze medal went to the New Zealand team.
Wang, a native of Qingyuan county in Lishui in East China's Zhejiang province, joined the national kayak team in 2019. She finished sixth in the women's K4 500m final at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics with her teammates Zhou Yu, Ma Qing and Li Dongyin after clocking a time of 1 minute and 38.12 seconds.
