Yunhe county to launch rose culture festival

Yunhe county – situated in Lishui city, in East China's Zhejiang province – held a news conference on April 25 to launch the 2023 Chishi Rose Culture Festival and announce the further development of the already immensely popular Rose Village.
Rose Village, located in Chishi village in the northwest of Yunhe county, boasts picturesque scenery and a great ecosystem and environment.
More than 100 varieties of roses have been planted in there. Every April and May, with tens of thousands of roses blossoming, the village attracts hordes of tourists.
The 2023 Chishi Rose Culture Festival will be held in Chishi village on April 28-30. The festival venue is set in the village's core area, which covers six blocks and 15 locations. Various activities such as flower appreciations, sightseeing, entertainment and food tasting will be arranged for visitors.
"Roses have become a source of income for the villagers," said Liu Xin, Party secretary of Chishi village.
According to Liu, at present there are 24 agritainment and homestay facilities in Chishi, with an annual tourist reception of 456,000 person-times, generating an annual business income of more than 10 million yuan ($1.46 million).
