Zhenbu Greenway Firefly Festival opens in Lishui

The Zhenbu Greenway Firefly Festival opened on April 21 in Zhenbu town, Qingtian county, and is administered by Lishui city in East China's Zhejiang province. The event attracted thousands of visitors to enjoy the fireflies and various cultural activities.
The festival features an opening ceremony, a firefly market, a mini firefly classroom, an evening gala and other events. It also joined a public welfare campaign launched by ByteDance, and conducts online live broadcasts of firefly viewing on five platforms such as Douyin and WeChat.

Zhenbu Greenway was rated as "Zhejiang's Most Beautiful Greenway" in 2021 and is surrounded by mountains and water with beautiful scenery. The 10.5-kilometer greenway is a unique habitat for fireflies.
The festival aims to promote the ecological protection and firefly knowledge of Zhenbu Greenway, and boost the greenway economy and local people's income.
"We will continue to refine the firefly economy and let the firefly's light illuminate Zhenbu town's road with common prosperity," said Ma Jianwei, Party secretary of Zhenbu town.
