Manufacturer Zhejiang Telilong Precision Machinery Co Ltd – located in Lishui city in East China's Zhejiang province – says it has a 70 percent market share of the global washing machine motor pulley industry.

A pulley's precision is directly related to the washing machine's operational performance and service life, according to Huang Qilin, chief engineer of the company.

In order to solve the precision problem, the company set up a research and development team and independently developed a series of automatic production equipment, keeping the defect rate at 1/10,000.

In 2019, the company invested more than 1 million yuan ($149,721) in technological transformation and started to replace human workers with intelligent equipment in the entire production line. The move not only saved manufacturing costs, but also improved production efficiency and the quality of its products.

After continuous R&D investment in recent years, the annual output value of the company has increased from 8 million yuan to 80 million yuan, with three invention patents and more than 30 utility model patents having been obtained.
