The digital economy in Lishui city – in East China's Zhejiang province – experienced a sharp rise in 2021, for a great start to the 14th Five-Year Plan period (2021-25), local media reported recently.

The "three parks and one base" of Lishui's digital economy – the Green Valley Information Industrial Park, the Hangzhou Lishui Digital Park, the Digital Economy Innovation and Startup Park and the Digital Economy Tianning Base – generated combined revenue of 6.51 billion yuan ($1.03 billion) and tax revenue of 170 million yuan last year, up 30 percent and 30.8 percent respectively year-on-year.

After years of development, the three parks and one base group have formed the four industrial sectors of the internet of things, internet platform, digital creativity and new retail, as well as three industrial supply chains – visual AI, new energy, smart travel and livestreaming e-commerce. 

Since last year, there have been 91 new projects newly added in the parks. These include a number of key projects, such as the Jusu Cloud B2B (business to business) e-commerce platform, with annual revenue of over 2.2 billion yuan in the Hangzhou Lishui Digital Park.
