Yantou village and Hongxingping village – situated in the region administered by Lishui city, in East China's Zhejiang province – were recently selected on a list of China's beautiful leisure villages in 2021, released by the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs.

A total of 254 villages in China were selected, including 12 villages in Zhejiang.

The picturesque Yantou village is located in Bihu town, in Liandu district, at the confluence of Songyin Creek and the Oujiang River. Nearly 20 ancient dwellings have been preserved there, most of which were built in the middle and late Qing Dynasty (1644-1911).

Hongxingping village, in Hushan town, is located in the southwest of Lishui's Suichang county and its abundant tourism resources include popular hot springs, lakes, forests and agricultural tourism.

In particular, its combination of "lakes plus hot springs" has particular appeal to tourists in the Yangtze River Delta region.
