The first tunnel emergency experience center in East China's Zhejiang province was inaugurated in Songyang county – located in Zhejiang's Lishui city – on Dec 17.

The center is located in the Songyang service area along the Liyang-Ningde expressway. It is constructed according to the actual scale of real tunnels and comes equipped with an audio-visual area for publicity and education.

Drivers passing through the Songyang service area can go to the center and learn the correct way to deal with emergencies in tunnels.

The center aims to enhance the ability of members of the public to rescue themselves and each other in emergency situations.
