Automotive air conditioning industry flourishes in Longquan
The automotive air conditioning sector is a main industry in Longquan – the county-level city administered by Lishui city in East China's Zhejiang province – with 200 manufacturers currently producing such products as compressors, air conditioning pipelines, expansion valves and drying bottles.
The sector has developed a remarkable global sales network covering Southeast Asia, the Middle East, Europe and the United States.
At present, construction of an auto air conditioning industry innovation service center was completed in Longquan. The base has become the only third-party testing institution that has obtained the China National Accreditation Service for Conformity Assessment, or CNAS, qualification in the field of automobile air conditioning in China.
Officials said the assessment has been recognized by more than 50 countries, including the United States and Japan.
In addition to local auto parts enterprises, many domestic and international companies have also sent their products to Longquan for testing, including FAW Audi, GAC Motor and many other well-known auto brands.
They said the complex provides tens of thousands of test data evaluations every year, helping local enterprises save more than 80 percent of their standard review costs.
