Yang Keyang
Yang Keyang (1914-2010) was born in 1914 in Suichang county, administered by the prefecture-level city of Lishui, in East China's Zhejiang province.
He was a famous woodblock print artist and one of the founders of the New Woodcut Movement in China that began in the 1930s. Yang created innumerable artistic treasures in his lifetime and cultivated generations of woodblock print artists.
He was vice-chairman of Shanghai Artists Association and president of the Shanghai Wood Block Painting Association.
His hometown – Suichang – built a memorial hall for him in October 2018. The memorial hall displays wood block print of book tickets, traditional Chinese paintings and New Year cards by Yang Keyang.
