Yunhe county in Lishui, East China's Zhejiang province, held a grand festival to celebrate this year's start of summer ploughing in Yunhe terrace field, on June 5.
Yunhe terrace, bearing the experience of a thousand years of farming civilization, is a golden name card for the county. The ploughing festival is a traditional folk activity celebrated in the Meiyuan mountain area of Yunhe county on the day of Mangzhong, which translates as "Grain in Ear" and means mature grain, the ninth of the 24 solar terms.
In addition to traditional activities such as folk custom performances and farming culture experiences, this year's festival also included live broadcasts to promote sales of local agricultural products.
Additionally, to accelerate the orderly recovery of the culture and tourism industry and actively respond to the call of "Zhejiang people travel in Zhejiang", Yunhe and Zhejiang Drive Travel Association signed a cooperation agreement at the opening ceremony to promote self-drive tours to Yunhe.
