In addition to its lush mountains and clean water, Dajun township in Jingning She autonomous county, Lishui, also serves as a water rescue training base. The rapid water streams make it a perfect spot for professional rescue teams from across the country to take training courses.
Since 2016, more than 60 groups of provincial water rescue training teams and water safety summer camps for primary and middle school students have been held in Dajun, generating income of 10 million yuan ($1.4 million).
To create a market-oriented training and tourism experience and establish a more complete water rescue training base, Dajun invested in a water rescue science and education museum, which went into trial operation in March 2020.
