Zhang Yuniang
Zhang Yuniang (1250-1277), born in Songyang, Lishui, Zhejiang province, was a woman poet in the late Southern Song Dynasty (1127-1279). Although she stayed in her boudoir all day long, she had wide-ranging thoughts about the nation and its people.
In her collection of poems, Lanxueji, the words are beautiful and elegant, like a gentle breeze and bright moonlight, yet the underlying meaning had magnificent power and bold vision. Unfortunately, Zhang died at a young age.
