In 2019, Liandu district is adhering to the goal of attracting investments by depending on Lishui's six major development platforms–the central urban area, a modern agricultural park, Vanyang low-carbon smart manufacturing town, Guyan Huaxiang characteristic town, the ring Dongxi Rock block and the northern mountain areas.

Liandu district plans industrial investment attraction projects scientifically. The projects mainly cover scientific and technological innovation, digital economy, cultural creativity, high-quality ecological agriculture, high-end equipment manufacturing, and rehabilitation and recreational tourism.

1. Optimize core service functions based on central urban area

Centering on an integrated pattern of "living in the north, leisure in the middle and working in the south", Liandu district is actively promoting the construction of featured commercial blocks and an urban tourism complex, optimizing and integrating urban leisure tourism resources, developing industries such as leisure entertainment, tourism shopping, sightseeing and vacations, business exhibitions, healthcare and medical treatment, and health management, and improving tourism services and consumption levels.

According to the urban economic development idea of "research and development (R&D) in the central city, manufacturing in the surrounding areas, incubation in the central city, and transformation in the surrounding areas", Liandu district is accelerating the construction of scientific and technological innovation platforms and carriers, and vigorously developing high-tech industries, scientific and technological services, modern financial services, commercial services and the headquarters economy.

2. Build an ecological agricultural platform based on a modern agricultural park

The park is located in Bihu town, the largest town in Liandu district. It has a cultivated land area of 3,933 ha, including 3,666 ha on Bihu plain, which is Lishui's main grain production base. The agricultural park also has the largest wetland in Lishui – Jiulong National Wetland Park.

In the agricultural park, traditional agriculture represented by the thousand-year-old Tongji Weir coexists with modern ecological circular agriculture represented by high and new technology, which has formed the four leading industries of vegetables, fruit, edible fungi, livestock and poultry as well as characteristic industries such as flowers and traditional Chinese medicine (TCM).

The next step is to follow the principle of "ecological priority, industrial integration, cultural synergy, and global linkage", and constantly promote the development of agricultural industrialization, standardization and branding. Also, the district will build the park into an intensive, comprehensive and open modern agricultural park that serves Lishui's urban area, and radiates the economic development of southwest mountainous area of Zhejiang province.
