Lishui City People's Hospital
Lishui City People's Hospital is a third-grade class A general hospital integrating medical treatment, scientific research, teaching, rehabilitation, health management and judicial appraisal in Lishui, Zhejiang province.
The hospital was established in 1937 as a temporary auxiliary hospital for the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression (1931-45). In its tortuous course of development, the hospital has formed a culture centering on the spirit of "preciseness, dedication and fraternity".
The hospital has a number of subordinate institutions, such as Yunhe, Liandu, Qingyuan and Suichang branches, Lishui stomatological hospital, as well as institutes for judicial appraisal, critical care medicine and health management.
The hospital has 88,690 square meters of medical rooms with 1,000 beds. It has 37 specialist wards and 58 specialist outpatient clinics. The annual numbers of outpatients and inpatients are 1.66 million and 55,500, and the total assets of the hospital have reached 1.28 billion yuan ($180 million).
Lishui City People's Hospital has established a health network video platform with the First Affiliated Hospital and the Second Affiliated Hospital of Zhejiang University School of Medicine, realizing remote consultation for critical diseases.
In the past five years, the hospital has undertaken 244 scientific research projects, including two national-level and 14 provincial-level projects, and has published 1,445 papers in various journals.
The hospital also provides clinical teaching and postgraduate training for more than 10 contracted medical schools such as Wenzhou Medical University, Zhejiang Chinese Medical University and Gannan Medical University.
