Launched by Yiwu authorities last July, "Hundreds of Counties, Thousands of Commodities" is a promotional project for agricultural and handcrafted goods made in China's underdeveloped regions.
Firms based at the Yiwu Bonded Logistics Center in Yiwu, Zhejiang province were among the most eager participants of this year's "618" online shopping festival.
The acquisition would result in Zhejiang China Commodities City Group Co owning its first license for third-party payments.
