Thirty international students from Hangzhou Dianzi University visited Jinhua, Zhejiang province, on March 27, for a poetic exploration across time in the hometown of Ai Qing (1910-1996).

Ai Qing, whose birth name was Jiang Zhenghan, was a famous Chinese poet who came to national prominence with his renowned poems like Dayan River — My Wet Nurse and Ode to Light.

In Fantianjiang village, Fucun town, the students encountered the grand poet through the aged manuscripts displayed in his former residence, sparking their curiosity about Chinese poets and poetry.

Akhmadjonov Azimjon from Uzbekistan said, "At Ai Qing's former residence, I delved into his life, experiences, and thoughts, feeling his profound love for his homeland."

Later at the Jinyi Lake Science and Innovation Base, the students marveled at a blue driverless shuttle bus and were fascinated by its autonomous technology and convenience.

The journey culminated in Lingxia town, where the students joined a traditional Chinese wedding ceremony along the ancient stone-paved path of Poyang Ancient Street. Decked out in traditional attire, they participated in the procession, experienced the Chinese wedding customs amid the beats of gongs and drums, and indulged in handmade delicacies.
