A delegation from Hengdian town in Jinhua, Zhejiang province, participated in the 2025 Hong Kong International Film & TV Market (Filmart) from March 17 to 20, highlighting the strengths of Hengdian's film and television cultural industry.
The Filmart, a prominent cross-media entertainment trade fair in Asia, serves as a crucial platform for Chinese-language film content and international communication.
This was the fourth year of the Hengdian delegation's offline participation. Using a combination of posters, concise texts, and displays of costumes and props, their booths attracted significant interest from industry players.
Ten leading film and television companies from Hengdian presented over 20 "Hengdian productions", with 10 works generating international distribution interest.
Representatives from Hengdian World Studios engaged in productive discussions with counterparts from Australia, Japan, South Korea, and other countries, establishing connections with over 300 potential partners.
Hengdian World Studios also explored collaborations with Fuji TV from Japan on joint Chinese-Japanese short films and Japanese productions filming in Hengdian and established initial cooperation intentions.
Additionally, representatives from the Management Committee of the Hengdian Film & Television Industrial Agglomeration visited Macao to sign a cooperation framework agreement with the Macao Self-improved Cultural and Creative Think Tank. This agreement sets the stage for collaborations in film production, copyrighted materials, talent cultivation, and more.
