Hundreds of plum blossoms bloomed at the China Flower and Nursery Industry Smart Expo Park in Wucheng district, Jinhua, Zhejiang province, on Feb 10, marking the enchanting beginning of spring.

The type of plum blossom in the park is called longmei and stands out with its drooping or slanting branches like a waterfall, bursting with a vibrant display of deep red, rosy pink, and snowy white flowers. The gentle swaying of the branches released a fragrant aroma, creating a dreamlike ambiance for visitors.

Visitors meandered along the flower-lined paths, savoring the essence of spring amid the stunning blooms. Captivated by the beauty, many paused to capture these moments with their smartphones.

Li Yuanfeng, an official at the park, explained that the plum blossom typically blooms in the first month of the Chinese calendar, with the peak bloom period following shortly after. The flowering duration varies with temperature, lasting about a month at 0 C to 5 C and around 10 days to two weeks at 15 C to 20 C.
