The 21st edition of the Confucius Institute program at Jimingshan community in Jinhua, Zhejiang province, concluded on Jan 10 with a warm graduation ceremony.

A total of 54 international members from over 20 countries including Spain, Bolivia, Yemen, and Serbia engaged in interesting activities at the ceremony, appreciating the charm of Chinese culture.

The participants also showed their achievements in learning Chinese and experiencing Chinese traditions through the program at the ceremony.

Since the Confucius Institute program began in 2014, the community has not only focused on teaching the language but also on creating a holistic service blending language education with cultural exchange.

Besides the Chinese classes, diverse cultural courses and activities tailored to the interests of international participants have been offered, including sports activities like table tennis and ba duan jin, a form of Chinese breathing exercise with eight sections of movements.

The community also plans to continue improving its services and activities while strengthening communication with expats, to facilitate their integration into Chinese society and promote cross-cultural understanding and collaboration.
