The 4th Lang Jingshan Photography Art Week commenced in Youbu town, Lanxi — a county-level city in Jinhua, Zhejiang province — on Dec 19, drawing renowned photographers and enthusiasts nationwide to capture Lanxi's distinctive allure through their lenses.
The event unveiled seven exhibitions across Youbu's old street alleys, ancient bridges, and photography galleries, presenting a plethora of eye-catching works.
Meanwhile, the bustling street in the town, known for its specialty offerings, enticed visitors, adding a culinary dimension to the artistic affair.
"This is my third time to Youbu and every time I experience something new," said Yan Jinsong, a member of the China Photographers Association. He brought his photos this time and will host a personal photography exhibition. "I hope more people can learn to appreciate the power of photography through the event."
Youbu town, as the birthplace of modern photography maestro Lang Jingshan, boasts a rich photography culture. Leveraging Lang Jingshan's legacy and the culture of Youbu Morning Tea, the town has been transformed into a popular tourist destination and a cultural and artistic hub.
Scheduled until February 2025, the Art Week comprises an array of activities, including the "Fenghuang Cup" provincial photography competition exhibition and the "Everyone is a Photographer" photography event, creating a vibrant cultural and artistic celebration for all.
