Jinhua recently welcomed the launch of a guide platform on animals and their product import regulations in the European Union, a comprehensive tool designed to assist businesses exporting to the EU.
The platform collects 67 EU laws, regulations, and technical standards, along with two interpretation manuals focusing on EU import inspection and quarantine for aquatic animals, aquatic products, and animal-origin feeds. By scanning a QR code on the manuals, enterprises can easily access relevant regulatory texts and interpretations online.
Jinhua, a significant player in foreign trade, witnessed exports totaling 88.92 billion yuan ($12.18 billion) to the EU from January to November, especially the export of animals and their products.
This year, the Jinhua Bureau of Justice and Customs established specialized teams to focus on the exporting issues of animal-origin feeds, aquatic animals, and their products, leading to the establishment of the platform.
The platform also includes a guide for 16 commonly asked questions in a user-friendly Q&A format, aiding businesses in understanding and complying with EU requirements.
Zhang Liu, general manager of Zhejiang Hongxiangyuan Import and Export Co, expressed gratitude for the platform, noting its assistance in mitigating risks for the company's upcoming expansion into the EU market.
