The 2024 China-Africa Cultural Silk Road Exchange Month will begin Nov 8 in Jinhua, Zhejiang province, which aims to strengthen friendship, build accord, and deepen cooperation between China and Africa.
China and Africa share a genuine friendship and serve as a model for solidarity and cooperation among developing areas. In recent years, cultural exchanges between China and Africa have continuously evolved and deepened, yielding fruitful results.
Various activities will take place during the event including the 2024 China-Africa Cultural and Tourism Cooperation Exchange Conference, Wuju Opera performances, and an exhibition showing the creative exchanges between Chinese and African artisans.

Jinhua is a leader in China-Africa cultural exchange and cooperation. In 2018, the city hosted the China-Africa Cultural Exchange Week, attracting over 60 guests from 18 African countries. In 2023, the exchange week was upgraded to the China-Africa Cultural Cooperation and Exchange Month, spanning two months in total.
This year, Jinhua has further deepened China-Africa cultural and tourism cooperation by establishing cultural and tourism promotion centers in Morocco and Zambia.
Over the past seven years, Jinhua has conducted more than 60 China-Africa cultural exchange activities across over 40 African countries, reaching over 100 million people.
