At the annual launch of "UPanda Cinema" and the BRICS film and cultural exchange event, young actors from Wuyi county, Jinhua, Zhejiang province, performed classic Wuju Opera pieces, according to Tide News on Oct 30.
This event was the first time that Wuyi's children's Wuju Opera went abroad, and it impressed nearly 10,000 Russian attendees with its exquisite performance and the cultural charm of Wuyi.
Wuju Opera, a cultural treasure of Jinhua in Zhejiang, boasts a rich history in Wuyi. Known for its diverse repertoire and unique vocal styles, Wuju Opera reflects the area's strong local flavor and deep cultural heritage.
In recent years, Wuyi has cultivated numerous excellent Wuju Opera performers, earning multiple opera awards and demonstrating its robust artistic prowess.
Wuyi is not only home to Wuju Opera but also fosters a wealth of fairy tales. Generations of Wuyi children's songs have provided fertile ground for the growth of fairy tales in Wuyi.
Among the six books presented by the Chinese to the Russians at the event, three were fairy tale books by Wuyi's authors. These books transcend cultural and linguistic barriers to allow foreign readers to experience the enchantment of fairy tales and the unique cultural flavor of Wuyi.
