The opening ceremony of the Zhejiang Intangible Cultural Heritage Exhibition of Poetry, Calligraphy, Paintings, and Wares was held in Yiwu, a county-level city in Jinhua, Zhejiang province, on Oct 11.

The exhibition showcased a curated selection of 75 art pieces, 97 calligraphy works, over 100 intangible cultural heritage wares, and 100 poems depicting Zhejiang's intangible cultural heritage, involving more than 260 intangible cultural heritage items from 11 cities across the province.

The displayed works were crafted by a group of masters and inheritors of intangible cultural heritage, each piece bearing the unique essence of its creator.

The exhibition featured diverse display methods, presenting various works in one space, which enhanced its overall visual impact and aesthetic appeal. This is the first time an intangible cultural heritage exhibition combining poetry, calligraphy, painting, and wares has been held in China, according to a spokesperson for the organizers.

The exhibition will run until Oct 28 in Yiwu, then tour Hangzhou, Ningbo, Taizhou, Jiaxing, and Quzhou, providing audiences in these cities with the opportunity to experience the rich cultural heritage of Zhejiang firsthand.
