The 2024 National Electric Surfing Championship kicked off at Huhaitang Park in Jinhua, Zhejiang province, on Oct 14.
The championship is divided into youth competitions from Oct 14 to 15 and adult contests from Oct 16 to 17. It features a total of 16 events, including speed and obstacle races, drawing 131 athletes from 28 teams nationwide.

Electric surfboards, controlled via remote handles for speed adjustments, test athletes' balance and turning skills. During the youth contests, 70 participants showcased their skills on the water's surface, creating a spectacle of speed and passion with their remarkable performances.
Since 2018, the China Water Sports Administration has endorsed electric surfing as an official water sport, and the National Electric Surfing Championship is now the most prestigious and influential electric surfing competition in the country.
