The X8022 China-Europe freight train, loaded with hardware, machinery, and Christmas decor, departed from the Jinhua South Railway Station in Jinhua, Zhejiang province on Oct 6, heading to Russia through the Ereenhot Port in North China's Inner Mongolia autonomous region.
In the first three quarters of this year, Jinhua's China-Europe freight train service dispatched 969 trains, transporting 102,800 TEUs, or twenty-foot equivalent units, marking a 12.4 percent increase in train dispatches compared to the same period of the previous year, according to the China Railway Shanghai Group Co.
The third quarter is the peak season for exporting Christmas items, with approximately 80 percent of the world's supply manufactured in Jinhua, which contributes to the growth in train operations.
Since the beginning of the year, Jinhua's China-Europe freight train service has offered strong cargo support, efficient customs clearance, and wide product distribution. This has established a safe, efficient, and convenient international logistics channel for regional trade.
The service has expanded the global reach of Chinese manufacturing, provided opportunities for countries involved in the Belt and Road Initiative to benefit from China's rapid development, and promoted economic and trade exchanges between China and other countries.
