With Mid-Autumn Festival just around the corner, a special cultural experience event unfolded in Wucheng district, Jinhua, Zhejiang province, on Sept 11.

International students from the College of International Education and Social Development at Zhejiang Normal University joined local residents to experience traditional Mid-Autumn Festival customs such as lotus lantern crafting and mooncake making and tasting.

During the event, the students learned about cultural legends, poetry, and verses related to Mid-Autumn Festival, gaining a deeper understanding of traditional Chinese festival culture.

Working together, they kneaded the dough, rolled out the pastry skins, and then filled and shaped them into a variety of mooncakes. The students also created traditional lotus lanterns with local residents to welcome Mid-Autumn Festival.
