The China Wood Carving Museum in Dongyang, a county-level city of Jinhua, Zhejiang province, welcomed a group of overseas Chinese youth and young people from Hong Kong, Macao, and Taiwan on July 30.
Guided by staff, they admired the exquisite works and learned about the rich history of Dongyang woodcarving.
This visit was part of the 2024 "China Root-Seeking Journey" summer camp, organized by the Jinhua Federation of Returned Overseas Chinese and the Jinhua Committee for the Care of the Next Generation.
The Dongyang camp, which began on July 29, will run for seven days and has attracted over 110 participants from around the world.
During the camp, participants will visit various cultural and historical sites, including the China Wood Carving Museum, Wood Carving Town, and Hengdian World Studios.
They will also enjoy Dongyang's natural landscapes, experience intangible cultural heritage projects like woodcarving and bamboo weaving, and learn to make traditional Dongyang cuisine.
