"Face-to-face interactions are undoubtedly more effective than online communication. At this trade fair, we secured an order worth $100,000 on the spot," noted Luo Bingsong, general manager of Hengpu Industry and Trade Co in Dongyang, Jinhua, upon returning from the 2024 International Trade Fair for Sport, Camping, and Garden Lifestyle in Cologne, Germany.
Held from June 16 to 18, this event is the largest and most influential trade fair for the global leisure and garden industry and attracted over 70 companies from Jinhua, noted a local official. The official added that participating in overseas exhibitions has long been an effective way for the city's export-oriented enterprises to secure new orders and explore new business opportunities.
Since the beginning of 2024, 2,275 companies with 4,460 people from Jinhua have ventured abroad to expand their global presence, successfully forming 63 business groups for trips this year.
"Exhibiting allows us to showcase our new technologies and products to customers. We also take the opportunity to visit some old clients to understand the real needs of the local market, providing valuable insights for future product development," noted Jiang Hao, a representative of Dongyang Wotu Tools Co, specializing in the export and production of garden tools and related products.
Jinhua aims to send over 4,000 companies and more than 100 groups to explore overseas markets this year.
