A launch ceremony for a national photography exhibition took place in Shanxiabao village in Wuyi county, Jinhua, Zhejiang province on April 28.

The exhibition aims to curate 40 photographs that portray the village's stunning landscapes, cultural richness, and traditional customs.

The village, which is over 730 years old, is home to 31 historical buildings, comprising 28 structures from the Qing Dynasty (1644-1911) and three from the Republic of China period (1912-1949).

These buildings include ancestral halls, bridges, temples, and notably, a well-preserved indigo dyeing pond from the Qing Dynasty, serving as a living museum of ancient rural architecture.

Li Xianwu, head of the publicity department of the Wuyi CPC committee, expressed his hope that photographers from all walks of life will capture the village's natural ecology and cultural essence from various angles, contributing to the nationwide promotion of its rich cultural heritage.
