The GDP of Jinhua in Zhejiang province amounted to 144.53 billion yuan ($19.95 billion) in the first quarter of this year, a year-on-year increase of 7.1 percent, according to statistics released on April 23.
The total output value of the city's agriculture, forestry, husbandry, and fishery industries stood at 4.05 billion yuan, up 3.7 percent year-on-year.
The added value of Jinhua's large-scale industries reached 29.72 billion yuan, an uptick of 9.2 percent year-on-year, while its service industry achieved a 6.8 percent rise in added value.
From January to February, the operating income of the city’s service enterprises above designated size reached 20.52 billion yuan, an increase of 17.4 percent.
Jinhua's fixed asset investment increased by 9.7 percent, with investment in the manufacturing industry growing by an impressive 22.3 percent.
The city's total retail sales of consumer goods amounted to 84.56 billion yuan, marking a 9.2 percent increase.
Jinhua's foreign trade also flourished, with total imports and exports reaching 193.07 billion yuan, a notable 14.6 percent increase. It launched 741 China-Europe freight train trips during the same period, transporting a total of 61,000 twenty-foot equivalent units.
Urban employment in the city experienced a significant surge, with an increase of 39,500 people, showing a remarkable 23.3 percent growth. As a result, the per capita disposable income of the city's residents reached 20,381 yuan, a 6.7 percent increase.
