The reservoirs in Jinhua, Zhejiang province have become popular recreational destinations, allowing people to get close connection to nature while fulfilling their essential functions of flood control, water storage, and agricultural irrigation and urban water supply.
Among these reservoirs, three are particularly popular.
Lutian Reservoir
Surrounding the lake, a 3000-meter lakeside promenade and waterside plank walk have been built, featuring distinct areas such as the redwood plank area, the flower sea and rock formations area, the rock tea industry area, and the waterfront beach leisure area.
Tieyan Reservoir
A greenway encircling the reservoir has become a haven for cyclists.
Gaochao Reservoir
Gaochao Reservoir, also known as Lanhu Lake, is celebrated for its unique natural beauty, boasting over 3000 mu (200 hectares) of serene lake surface and more than 4000 mu of unspoiled tea gardens.
Rich in wetland resources, it provides a suitable habitat for diverse bird species.
