Shi Rilian, an octogenarian paper-cutting artist from Pujiang county, Jinhua, Zhejiang province, has completed several paper-cut works focusing on the Year of the Dragon.

Shi's passion for paper-cutting began at the age of 10, but it was only after retirement that she dedicated herself to mastering this traditional art.

Shi emphasized her deep appreciation for visiting ancient villages and towns, where she has consistently found inspiration in the architectural details, old book stalls, and various other locales.

Since 2021, Shi has been showcasing her paper-cut works through exhibitions, featuring over 300 pieces that encompass a diverse array of subjects, including figures, landscapes, legendary stories, local culture, and flora and fauna.

Shi has also established a workshop to offer free lessons for those interested in preserving this traditional art.
