Jinhua folk artist brings fresh look to Chinese New Year

Zhan Dongming, an inheritor of the traditional paper-cutting craft in Jinhua, Zhejiang province, has masterfully crafted a captivating series of dragon-themed paper-cuttings to usher in the forthcoming Chinese New Year.

Renowned for his exceptional artistry, Zhan established the Jinhua Paper-cut Museum in 2011, offering free public access. His primary goal was to effectively showcase, preserve, and perpetuate the rich heritage.

Zhan's exquisite creations have transcended borders, serving as cultural ambassadors in over 20 countries and regions.

Furthermore, his works have been officially designated as souvenirs, garnering acclaim and finding a place of honor in the collections of both local and international enthusiasts, as well as prestigious museums and intangible cultural heritage institutions.
