Jinhua in Zhejiang province hosted a Spring Festival Cultural Temple Fair in Wuzhou Ancient Town on Jan 26, in celebration of the upcoming Chinese New Year.
The event, also recognized as a Zhejiang Provincial Intangible Cultural Heritage Fair, was organized with the goal of advancing the creative transformation and innovative development of traditional Chinese culture, noted a local official.
The official added that the fair also aimed to facilitate the integration of ICH items with industry and the market, thereby fostering the high-quality development of the ICH industry and economy, and stimulating the seamless merging of culture and tourism.
The fair showcased a fusion of ICH performances and markets, bringing together numerous ICH items, over a hundred inheritors, and a diverse array of traditional handicrafts.
Through the use of immersive settings, the event was designed to enrich the public's experience, creating a grand assembly of ICH that not only captivated visually but also engaged interactively.
On the same day, a Spring Festival gala was also held, featuring 10 splendid and diverse performances, including traditional drama, music, dance, and sports, further enriching the cultural experience for visitors and locals alike.
