Jinhua's GDP was valued at 601.13 billion yuan ($84.13 billion) in 2023, up 6.8 percent year-on-year, according to statistics released by the city's bureau of statistics on Jan 24.
The added values of the city's primary, secondary, and tertiary industries experienced notable growth, amounting to 15.64 billion yuan, 236.74 billion yuan, and 348.75 billion yuan, representing increases of 3.6 percent, 5.1 percent, and 8 percent, respectively.
The total output value of agriculture, forestry, animal husbandry, and fishery industries in the city stood at 26.49 billion yuan, marking a 3.7 percent year-on-year increase.
The added value of large-scale industries in Jinhua amounted to 124.6 billion yuan, reflecting a 4.4 percent year-on-year increase. Notably, the automobile manufacturing industry grew by 29.8 percent, and the added value of high-tech industries accounted for 65.6 percent of the proportion of all industrial enterprises above designated size.
The city's service industry experienced an 8 percent year-on-year increase in added value in 2023. Notably, wholesale and retail trade, accommodation and catering, and financial services surged by 8.7 percent, 12.7 percent, and 11.3 percent, respectively.
The express delivery volume totaled 13.69 billion pieces, marking a 16 percent increase and placing the city at the top nationwide in terms of total volume.
Furthermore, the total retail sales of consumer goods in Jinhua stood at 314.18 billion yuan, marking a 6 percent year-on-year increase.
The total import and export volume for the whole year reached 769.75 billion yuan, marking a 12.6 percent increase. Exports amounted to 663.07 billion yuan, reflecting an 11.3 percent increase, while imports were worth 106.69 billion yuan, showing a 20.9 percent increase.
The per capita disposable income of residents in the city was 61,710 yuan, reflecting a 6.3 percent increase. Urban residents' per capita disposable income reached 73,639 yuan, marking a 5.8 percent increase and that for rural residents rising to 38,136 yuan, showing a 7 percent increase.
